Grok

Whimsical's MCP server connects your workspace to Grok, so you can create and edit flowcharts, mind maps, sequence diagrams, and wireframes from any conversation.

Get set up

Whimsical connects to Grok as a custom MCP connector:

1. Go to grok.com/connectors
2. Click New Connector, then select Custom
3. Enter the Whimsical MCP server URL: https://mcp.whimsical.com/mcp
4. Sign in to Whimsical to authorize access

Grok discovers the Whimsical tools automatically and uses them whenever your prompts call for them. You can also search your Whimsical workspace from a chat to pull up existing boards and build on work you've already done.

Examples of what you can do:

• Visualize a process: turn a written SOP into a flowchart.
• Map system architecture: describe your stack and get a clean architecture diagram.
• Summarize as a mind map: condense research or notes into a structured mind map.
• Sketch a wireframe: go from a feature description to a wireframe outline.
• Extend past work: find an existing board and add to it.
