An event ticketing app wireframe template is a set of editable screens for selling tickets on mobile: event discovery, an event page, ticket choice, checkout and the ticket used at the door. Fifteen screens from the DICE iOS app make up this free version, from phone-number sign-up and a feed of tonight's events to a date filter, an events map, an order summary and QR tickets. Duplicate it in Whimsical to plan event ticketing app design for gigs or festivals.
An event ticketing app sells tickets and holds them, so it needs checkout, a ticket wallet and an entry method at the door. An event listings app helps people find things to do and links out to wherever tickets are sold. Ticketing apps also handle refunds, transfers and on-sale traffic, which listings apps never touch.
Start with the purchase: event detail, ticket quantity, order summary and confirmation, kept short for on-sale rushes. Then design the ticket for fast entry, and discovery by date and location. Plan sold-out, waiting list and transfer states early, since they arrive with the first popular show. Duplicate this template in Whimsical to start from those core screens.
An event ticketing app needs event discovery with search and filters, event pages with venue, date and price, a short checkout, a wallet of purchased tickets and an entry method like a QR code. Ticket transfers, waiting lists and alerts about event changes matter too. This template covers each of these across 15 wireframes from DICE.
The screens follow DICE's iOS app, which keeps tickets in the app instead of an email inbox and links them to the buyer's phone number. That makes it a useful reference for entry and transfer design. Each of the 15 wireframes was drawn from a Mobbin screenshot and sits next to it with a link. Artist images and branding are left out, and Whimsical isn't affiliated with DICE.
It was built with App Wireframe, an open-source agent skill that redraws app screens as editable Whimsical wireframes. Name a ticketing or events app and the skill pulls its key screens from Mobbin, placing each wireframe beside the screenshot it came from. Screenshots of your own ticketing app or designs work too. It runs in an AI agent connected to the Whimsical MCP server, plus the Mobbin MCP server for named apps.
Offering an Apple Wallet pass is worth it on iPhone, because Wallet can surface the ticket on the Lock Screen when it's needed. Apple's Wallet guidelines suggest offering to add the pass right after someone buys an event ticket. DICE takes the other route and keeps tickets inside its own app, with QR codes that activate two hours before the event.
