Free plan limits

The Free plan includes 50 new board objects and 50 new doc blocks every month. You can create as many boards and docs as you like. What counts towards the allowance is the content you add to them.

What counts as a board object?Copied!Link to this section

Each item you add to a board counts as one object. For example, a connector, a rectangle, an annotation, a sticky note.

What counts as a doc block?Copied!Link to this section

Docs are counted in blocks, not words. A block is a single piece of content in a doc, like a paragraph, a heading, a list item, an image, an embed or a callout. Every bullet point is its own block, however short it is, and every paragraph is its own block, however long it is.

Does editing existing content use my allowance?Copied!Link to this section

No. The allowance only counts new content you create. Before you reach the limit, you can edit, move and delete existing content as much as you like without using any of it.

Do copies and duplicates count?Copied!Link to this section

Yes. Copying, pasting and duplicating all count, because every copy becomes a new object or block when it's added.

Where can I see how much I've used?Copied!Link to this section

There's a counter in the top-right corner of each file that shows how much of this month's allowance you've used.

What happens when I reach the limit?Copied!Link to this section

Your content becomes view-only until the allowance resets or you upgrade. This means you won't be able to add, edit, move or delete content, and undo won't work either.

Nothing is deleted. Everything you've created stays exactly as it is, and you can keep viewing it.

Will deleting content free up my allowance?Copied!Link to this section

No. The limit tracks what you create during the month, not how much content currently exists, so deleting things won't give any of the allowance back.

When does the allowance reset?Copied!Link to this section

Automatically on the 1st of every month. You'll get a fresh 50 objects and 50 blocks, and full editing comes back with them.
