1. Open your Canva whiteboard or presentation and select what you want to bring over.
2. Copy it with Cmd + C (Mac) or Ctrl + C (PC).
3. Open a Whimsical board and paste with Cmd + V (Mac) or Ctrl + V (PC).

• Shapes, including rectangles, circles, diamonds, triangles, parallelograms, trapezoids and hexagons. Other shapes become the closest matching Whimsical shape.
• Fully rounded rectangles, which become pills
• Sticky notes, in the closest Whimsical sticky color

• Lines, which become connectors that stay attached to their shapes and keep their arrowheads, elbows and curves
• Tables, as editable Whimsical tables with their cell text and colors
• Pen and highlighter drawings
• Groups, including nested groups

• Photos, graphics, videos and charts don't come across. Canva doesn't include them in the copy, so they're skipped.
• Some shapes. Shapes without a Whimsical match, like hearts and speech bubbles keep their text and color, but become rectangles. Pentagons become hexagons.
• Colors are matched, not copied exactly. Gradients use their first color. You can update your color theme to match your brand.
• Fonts and underlines aren't carried over. Text is shown in our Dinsical font.
• Shapes snap to the nearest right angle. Text and sticky notes paste upright.
• Sticky note authors stay behind.

• Work section by section so it's easy to check the result as you go.
• Paste into a fresh Whimsical board first while you get a feel for it.
• If you see Couldn't paste selection, check that your selection includes more than photos or graphics, or try copying fewer objects at a time.
